About the Role

As an Applied AI Architect, Enterprise Tech, you will be a pre-sales technical advisor helping large enterprises understand, integrate, and deploy Claude. Working with Sales, Product, and Engineering, you will guide customers from technical discovery through evaluation and deployment, designing scalable LLM solutions that meet business needs while maintaining safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Act as the primary technical advisor throughout enterprise customers' Claude adoption journeys, coordinating across internal teams and stakeholders.
• Support customers using the Claude API and Claude for Work.
• Create and deliver technical content for audiences ranging from engineering teams to executives.
• Guide architecture decisions and integration with existing enterprise technology stacks.
• Help customers build evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for their use cases.
• Identify common integration patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, technical discussions, and relationship building.
• Stay current with LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.

Candidate Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
• Experience working with enterprise customers and complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts to executives, engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to translate requirements between business and technical audiences.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
• Comfort with Python.
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
• Enthusiasm for cross-organizational collaboration, navigating trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinking about safe, beneficial uses of technology.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Relevant study may be demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Location and Working Arrangements

• Available in San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA.
• This role requires three days in the office per week.
• Occasional customer-site travel is expected.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual compensation range: $240,000–$380,000 USD.
• For sales roles, the stated range represents on-target earnings, including annual base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.
• Benefits include optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space.
• Visa sponsorship is available, but cannot be guaranteed for every role or candidate. Anthropic will make reasonable efforts to obtain a visa for candidates receiving an offer and retains an immigration lawyer.
