iOS Engineer, Money Experience

About the Role

Robinhood’s Money Experience team builds customer-facing money movement experiences, including deposits, withdrawals, recurring deposits, transfer history, incoming wires, guided transfer flows, and the net worth tracker.

As an iOS Engineer, you will build and improve experiences that help customers move money into, out of, and between Robinhood accounts. You will contribute to account selection, transfer validation, deposit and withdrawal flows, post-transfer experiences, and migration to newer guided transfer flows alongside iOS and Android engineers.

Location

• Based in Menlo Park, California.
• In-person office attendance is expected at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS features supporting equities trading, brokerage account management, and customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, compliance partners, and operations teams to deliver reliable mobile functionality aligned with customer and business goals.
• Improve application performance, testing practices, observability, and release processes.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and implement scalable mobile architecture patterns.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and collaborative engineering processes supporting reliability and maintainability.

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional iOS engineering experience building and shipping production mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Swift and experience with modern iOS frameworks and architecture patterns.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features.
• Comfort improving application quality through testing, performance optimization, and maintainable engineering practices.
• Clear communication of technical concepts and constructive participation in design reviews, planning discussions, and code reviews.

Compensation

Annual base pay varies by compensation zone:

• Zone 1: $166,000–$195,000 USD for Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; and Washington, DC.
• Zone 2: $147,000–$172,000 USD for Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; and Chicago, IL.
• Zone 3: $130,000–$152,000 USD for Lake Mary, Clearwater, and Gainesville, FL.

Actual base pay depends on job-related factors, including education, training, experience, location, business needs, and market demands. Compensation for other locations can be discussed with the recruiter. The role is also eligible for bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.
