About Baseten
Baseten powers mission-critical inference for dynamic AI companies like Cursor, Notion, OpenEvidence, Abridge, Clay, Gamma, and Writer. By uniting applied AI research, flexible infrastructure, and seamless developer tooling, we enable companies operating at the frontier of AI to bring cutting-edge models into production. We recently raised our $1.5B Series F led by Altimeter Capital, Conviction Partners, and Spark Capital.
The Role
Baseten's GTM org is in hyper growth. As it grows and matures, the needs of the GTM stack get more sophisticated with scale — and this team exists to stay ahead of those needs. Our GTM Engineering team plays a critical role in building and maintaining the connective tissue across Baseten’s GTM tools, processes, and user experience for the field.
You'll design, build, and ship AI-powered workflows that scale our GTM functions as a competitive advantage. We want someone who can walk in, audit what we have, identify what we're missing, and start shipping fast.
Responsibilities
- Ship AI-powered workflows for the field: Build the agents and automations that give reps and managers real leverage, off-loading manual and repetitive work. Reach for AI where it does something low-code can't.
- Get insights in front of reps: Turn Salesforce, warehouse, and usage data into dashboards, scores, and alerts reps act on.
- Audit the stack and generate your own backlog: Identify what's missing or broken, and prioritize without waiting to be handed a roadmap.
- Ship rep-productivity workflows fast: Triage asks from the field, find low-hanging fruit, and build it rapidly.
- Know when to go custom: Spin up bespoke AI-powered solutions when the problem calls for it with sound judgment.
- Think in systems, not solutions: Anticipate upstream and downstream implications; design to avoid creating technical debt.
- Integrate third-party APIs: Sync events and information across disparate systems, ensuring data flows reliably between tools.
- Document what you build: Ensure systems are findable, understandable, and trusted.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, workflow automation, or a technical RevOps role — ideally at a high-growth, AI-native B2B company
- Shipped production agents on Vercel, building custom internal GTM apps and agents with durable workflows and sandboxed execution
- Genuine fluency with AI coding assistants and agent tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar) in production
- Hands-on experience with Clay as a primary enrichment and workflow tool
- Direct experience with Salesforce (data model, building on it, owning CRM-level changes)
- Track record of owning end-to-end AI and automation workflows
- Proficiency with integration and automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Make, Workato, or similar) and fundamental understanding of APIs and webhooks
- Strong judgment on build vs. low-code decisions
- Experience in high-growth B2B technology companies
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with enrichment and data-provider ecosystems beyond Clay
- Comfort building reporting and alerting on a data warehouse (BigQuery, Databricks) and BI layer (Sigma, Hex)
- Experience building with agent platforms (Gumloop, n8n, Notion Agents, etc.) and/or agent frameworks (Vercel AI SDK, Claude Agent SDK, Mastra, etc.)
- Experience with highly technical software sales cycles and complex GTM motions
- Instinct for stack consolidation
- Systems thinker with modular design approach
- Comfortable with ambiguity and experimental tooling
