About the Financial Services Team

• Our financial services customers span systemically important banks, neobanks, insurers, and vertically integrated ecosystems.
• Our team partners closely with these organizations to set their AI strategies and build modern tools that handle critical customer touchpoints.
• Sierra’s Financial Services team is transforming customer experiences and making the industry more accessible, human, and affordable.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents: Build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents running in production environments.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC): Maintain ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration, defining best practices along the way.
• Partner with large enterprises and startups: Work directly with enterprise leaders and startups to understand key business challenges and build AI agents that transform operations at scale.
• Build the future of the platform: Partner with research, product, and platform teams to prototype new tools and guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform.

What You'll Bring

• Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
• A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency to overcome obstacles and ship.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Genuine interest in Financial Services; experience in fintech, implementations at financial institutions, or familiarity with financial compliance/security requirements (fair lending, PII handling) is a strong plus.

Even Better...

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Background as a founder or founding engineer.
• Familiarity with AI agent tooling: evaluation frameworks, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
• Experience interfacing with customers or leading technical projects with external stakeholders.
