Senior Software Engineer

Role

ZoomInfo Technologies LLC is seeking a Senior full-stack engineer for its DAAS team. This nascent initiative offers an opportunity to influence its direction by proposing ideas, testing and validating them independently, and incorporating them in collaboration with the team.

• Location: Remote in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
• Employment: Full time, general shift.
• US base salary: $140,000–$220,000. Actual compensation depends on work location, qualifications, skills, experience, and training. Bonus, commission, equity, and other benefits may also apply.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and Node.js frameworks such as NestJS.
• Build scalable systems using event-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement platform features and functionality.
• Refactor existing code to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop RESTful APIs following best practices and design patterns.
• Work with cloud technologies and solve challenging problems alongside other engineers.
• Develop new skills and advance the team's technology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science with at least 2 years of backend software engineering experience focused on Java and Node.js, or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with at least 4 years of experience.
• Experience with SQL Server and/or MongoDB, including efficient queries, schema design, and data security.
• Familiarity with designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web APIs.
• Experience using Jira for sprint planning and tracking tasks and bugs.
• Proficiency with modern IDEs such as VS Code.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including SOLID principles, design patterns, and unit testing.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• Passion for software development and continuous improvement.
• Desire to find pragmatic, innovative solutions to business and technical problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with customer support, product, and engineering teams.
• Demonstrable contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with AWS and GCP, including deploying, monitoring, and scaling applications.
• Experience with application virtualization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Experience building microservices architectures.
