About the Role

Join the Mobile Engineering team as an intern during winter or summer 2027 at Verkada headquarters in San Mateo, California. Collaborate across teams to deliver native mobile experiences for existing and new iOS and Android applications supporting Verkada's security systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the full mobile application lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, and release, in a fast-paced environment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
• Develop in Swift or Kotlin alongside backend work.
• Design, develop, and test solutions in iterative sprints.
• Build automation and tests to streamline development.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at Verkada headquarters during winter or summer 2027.
• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar degree program, with graduation expected in early to mid 2028.
• Proficient understanding of Swift and the iOS SDK, or Kotlin and the Android SDK, with willingness to learn both.
• Experience writing multithreaded, asynchronous code.
• Experience working with backend server APIs.
• Solid UI development and unit testing skills.
• Thorough understanding of fundamental Computer Science concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work alongside engineers of all levels.

Compensation

• Estimated hourly pay: $55–$65 USD; actual starting pay may fall above or below this range based on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
• Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or restricted stock units.
