$106,000 - $209,000

Role

MongoDB is hiring a Product Manager, Internal Financial Data, within its Internal Data team. The team builds data products—including pipelines, datasets, analytics, APIs, ML models, and frameworks—that support data-informed decisions across Customer, Product, Finance, and Employee business areas.

This role will transform complex, high-volume consumption data into clean, compliant, near-real-time financial products, helping Finance teams move from manual workflows toward automated, AI-driven forecasting.

This is a full-time role with a hybrid working model for candidates based in New York City, Austin, Palo Alto, or San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products supporting financial planning, forecasting, spend efficiency, and operational rigor.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to clarify ambiguous business problems and translate financial strategies into data requirements, technical frameworks, and user stories.
  • Lead cross-functional squads to design, build, and deploy pipelines, datasets, dashboards, APIs, and frameworks. Champion foundational data management tools for enterprise AI and BI.
  • Advocate for data consumers, audit workflows, build data trust, and prioritize durable strategic solutions over ad-hoc fixes.
  • Prioritize the backlog and break large data initiatives into scoped, high-value increments. Direct agile delivery from sprint planning through release and manage cross-functional dependencies.
  • Establish and track success metrics for product adoption, usability, data accuracy, and measurable business value.
  • Own the data lifecycle from deployment through adoption, drive change management, establish technical documentation, and lead incident resolution with engineering to optimize uptime.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of strong technical product management experience, specifically managing data as a product.
  • Direct experience partnering with Finance teams on planning, forecasting, and reporting workflows.
  • Deep familiarity with modern data architecture, including lakehouse and medallion models.
  • Strong product judgment and an outcomes-oriented mindset; ability to balance user needs, business priorities, technical direction, and delivery constraints while driving impact and adoption.
  • Hands-on experience with ERPs and core finance systems, including an understanding of journal entries, accounts receivable/payable, and aging schedules.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis and workforce planning ecosystems.
  • Experience handling sensitive data and SOX compliance, balancing risk controls with delivery velocity.
  • Strong communication skills and experience providing product visibility to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High autonomy and ownership of aligned workstreams.
  • Experience at top-tier software companies with consumption-based business models is a major plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • U.S. annual base salary: $106,000–$209,000. Offer compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and work location.
  • Eligible U.S. employees may receive equity, employee stock purchase program participation, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks of fully paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, a 401(k), mental health counseling, transgender-inclusive health insurance, and other health benefits.
