About the Role

Join the Frontend Engineering team for a winter or summer 2027 internship, working across the software stack and collaborating across functions to build Verkada’s flagship security software. This role requires on-site work at Verkada’s headquarters in San Mateo, California.

Responsibilities

• Build product experiences across the Command web platform using React and mobile applications using React Native.
• Lead whole projects from design through implementation.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to create features for users and customers.

Qualifications

• Available to work at Verkada headquarters during winter or summer 2027.
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, graduating by June 2028.
• Internship experience developing and launching products.
• Experience building reusable components, using CSS preprocessors, and creating pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Proficient understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript, including contexts, prototypes/classes, and closures.
• Experience with a modern web framework such as Angular.js, React, or Vue.
• An eye for design, product details, and polish.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated hourly pay: $55–$65 USD. Actual starting pay may be above or below this range based on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
