About Pinterest

Millions of people around the world come to Pinterest to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities, and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. Our mission is to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love.

At Pinterest, AI augments our creativity and amplifies our impact. We are looking for inquisitive, collaborative university grads to join our engineering teams. Working closely with mentors and cross-functional partners across product, design, data, and back-end engineering, you’ll learn how large-scale systems operate and contribute to building new technologies, features, and tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver code that is well-documented, tested, and operable.
  • Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help build the future of Pinterest.
  • Take ownership of the completion, quality, and maintainability of your tasks and projects.
  • Leverage AI tools in your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery—brainstorming approaches, writing and refining code, and producing clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners to build products, systems, and tools.
  • Proactively communicate ideas and perspectives with candor, growing professionally through feedback and learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to engineering work across backend, full stack, mobile, web, and security domains, depending on team.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, expected by June 2027.
  • Must be available to start full-time between January 2027 and September 2027.
  • At least one year of programming experience through internships, research, coursework, teaching, personal projects, open source, or hackathons.
  • Familiarity using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool, and as an iterative coding partner.
  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++, and familiarity with relevant frameworks/technologies such as React or similar.
  • Previous software engineering internship experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, product sense, comfort with ambiguity, and a growth mindset.

Work Arrangement

  • For this role, some employees will work in a hybrid model (commutable distance to an office, in-person collaboration 1–2 times per week), and some will work fully remote within approved locations.
  • US-based applicants only. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Benefits

Pinterest offers competitive compensation and equity eligibility for this position.
