About the Role

As an Applied AI Architect, Industries, you will act as a pre-sales architect and trusted technical advisor to large enterprises adopting Claude. Combine technical expertise and customer-facing skills to design scalable LLM solutions that address business challenges while maintaining safety and reliability.

Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to guide customers from technical discovery and evaluation through deployment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout enterprise customers' Claude adoption journeys, coordinating across internal teams and stakeholders.
• Support customers building with the Claude API and Claude for Work.
• Create and deliver technical content for audiences ranging from engineering teams to executives, connecting technical capabilities to business value.
• Guide architecture decisions and integration of Claude into existing enterprise technology stacks.
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for their use cases.
• Identify common integration patterns and share insights with Product and Engineering.
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
• Stay current on LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
• Experience working with enterprise customers and navigating complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate technical concepts to executives, engineering teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to translate requirements between business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
• Comfortable with Python.
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
• Enthusiasm for cross-organizational collaboration, navigating trade-offs, and balancing competing priorities.
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative thinking about safe, beneficial applications of technology.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Relevant study may be demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Location and Travel

• Locations: New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA.
• Hybrid, with staff expected to work from an office at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office attendance.
• Occasional customer-site travel is required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual listed compensation: $240,000–$315,000 USD.
• For sales roles, the listed range represents on-target earnings, including annual base salary and target sales commissions or bonuses.
• Benefits include optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and office space for collaboration.
• Visa sponsorship is offered, subject to role and candidate circumstances. Anthropic makes reasonable efforts to secure visas for candidates receiving offers and retains an immigration lawyer to assist.
