Software Engineer, Agent (Brazilian Portuguese speaking)

About the Role

Sierra is seeking a Software Engineer (Agent) fluent in Brazilian Portuguese to design and deliver production-grade AI agents. In this role, you will build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents running in production environments across industries such as finance, healthcare, and commerce.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents: Build and ship performant, reliable, scalable AI systems in production environments.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC): Own the entire lifecycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration, tuning and evolving AI agents in production.
• Partner with enterprises and startups: Collaborate directly with leaders at large enterprises and cutting-edge startups to understand business challenges and embed AI agents across their tech stack.
• Build the future of the platform: Surface unmet customer needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate across research, product, and platform teams.

Qualifications

Required

• Professional language fluency in both Brazilian Portuguese and English
• Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
• Strong technical problem-solving skills in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency
• Comfort working directly with customers to solve real-world problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production
• Prior experience as a founder or founding engineer
• Familiarity with AI agent tooling, eval frameworks, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go
• Experience interfacing with customers or leading technical projects with external stakeholders
