About Orum

Orum's AI-powered suite frees salespeople to do what they do best: connect, listen, and sell. Our products give sales teams everything they need to connect faster, sell smarter, and grow revenue. From intelligent dialing and real-time conversation insights to AI-driven coaching and virtual sales floors, Orum is powering thousands of sales teams to have more meaningful conversations and turn every call into measurable impact.

The Role

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll take end-to-end ownership of critical product features, delivering seamless, high-impact user experiences in close collaboration with Product Managers and Designers. Our current stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, React, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH.

The Coaching + Analytics Team

The Coaching and Analytics team transforms raw call data into actionable insights that directly improve how people sell. You’ll build systems that process and analyze conversations at scale, uncover meaningful patterns, and turn them into real coaching tools—not just dashboards, but insights that drive behavior and outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of data, backend systems, and product thinking, focused on simplifying complex signals into intuitive, high-impact user experiences.

What you'll do

  • Own core product features, from initial concept and discovery through implementation, deployment, and iterative improvement.
  • Design and build scalable systems (70% backend, 30% frontend) that power real-time, high-volume workflows - such as routing calls with our event-driven SIP Softswitch or processing audio streams for advanced speech recognition.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, Designers, and Engineers to shape and deliver intuitive, performant experiences.
  • Mentor and support teammates by sharing knowledge, offering feedback, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
  • Drive technical excellence by helping define and uphold coding standards that keep our codebase clean, maintainable, and scalable.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience owning features or products through the full lifecycle - from discovery to release to iteration
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience building applications with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience working with an RDBMS using SQL
  • Deep appreciation for simple, maintainable, and well-tested code

Benefits

Flexible vacation, 30+ paid holidays (including monthly Fridays off and year-end break), stock options, 90% coverage for healthcare, dental, and vision, life and disability insurance, parental leave, $1k equipment reimbursement, and company retreats.
