About the Company

SpaceX's mission is to make life multiplanetary. The posting describes SpaceXSI as building a Super Intelligence stack spanning Colossus supercomputers, Grok models, and applications.

About the Role

Join SpaceXAI software engineering teams as a new graduate, owning real product work across Grok Bot, Cloud Agents, Cursor, and underlying systems. Work onsite in San Francisco with a small team emphasizing ownership and little hierarchy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship reliable products and systems that engineers enjoy using.
  • Drive concrete problems end to end, from UI through backend work when needed.
  • Maintain product quality and correctness while moving quickly.
  • Use AI tools to enhance engineering work without compromising correctness.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduating in Spring 2027 in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Must have built an app, open-source project, or shipped product that the team can open and review.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and judgment in using AI tools.
  • Attention to detail, first-principles reasoning, and strong product taste.
  • Learn quickly, take ownership, and demonstrate having accomplished something meaningfully difficult early in your career.
  • Internships or equivalent industry experience are welcome.

Sample Projects

  • Improve UI to make AI-generated code or pull requests easier to read and review.
  • Turn a teammate's rough idea into a working prototype within a few days, then iterate on feedback.
  • Ship a contained frontend feature with some backend work, fix bugs, and refine the experience after users try it.

Application and Interview Process

  • Include an exceptional technical project or product feature that demonstrates your capabilities, such as a GitHub project, live app, open-source project, or shipped product.
  • Selected candidates complete 2–3 short technical interviews.
  • A subsequent onsite interview includes a small project, discussion of ideas, and meetings with the team.
