Engineering Manager

About the Role

Sigma is transforming how businesses run by delivering a high-performance platform on modern data architecture. We are seeking a self-motivated Engineering Manager eager to lead teams of high-performing engineers, working in a fast-paced environment and supporting teams to deliver incrementally against the product roadmap.

What You Will Be Doing

• Collaborate with cross-functional groups, executive teams, and field teams to devise business-impact product strategy.
• Enable the team to realize their potential and set them up for achieving their career development goals through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Own execution and delivery of roadmaps to set up the business and your team for success.
• Partner with the staffing team to recruit and build a high-performing engineering team.
• Instill a strong sense of ownership and accountability within the team.
• Participate in discussions pertaining to architecture and implementation techniques to represent, translate, and optimize user directives into optimized queries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• Experience hiring and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Demonstrated strong technical architecture and engineering skills with the ability to switch between technology paradigms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Strong product sense and ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn and apply new technologies to technical challenges.

• Work environment: In-office work environment with a 25% travel expectation unless explicitly stated otherwise.
