[US DC] Manager, Reliability Engineering

Job Overview

As the Reliability Manager at HelloFresh, you will oversee maintenance and reliability staff—such as the planner/scheduler, inventory specialist, technicians, and industrial refrigeration technicians—for your assigned buildings. Additionally, you will take direct ownership of all maintenance projects involving life cycle assessments and equipment change outs, including utility expansion/modification, new equipment installations, and refrigeration system projects. You will set the standard for operational efficiency and facilities maintenance roadmap execution for your fulfillment center.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, lead, motivate, and coach the reliability team, fostering an environment where team members provide feedback and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage outside vendors for reliability projects and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
• Ensure strict compliance with all maintenance regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain an updated roster of asset contractors to ensure emergency repairs are addressed promptly.
• Identify operational issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis, and implement improvement ideas across the fulfillment center.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing facilities maintenance, operations, and reliability within the food, beverage, perishables, or distribution industries.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Exposure to mechanical, electrical, automation, and refrigeration systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
• Well-versed in OSHA regulations and compliance (OSHA certification is a plus).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
• Willingness to spend the majority of working hours on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments (temperatures around 40°F).
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and/or night shifts as needed.
