Sardine
remote · full time
$125,000 - $210,000
About the Role
As a member of the Integration Team, you'll manage end-to-end integrations with U.S. federal government agencies and the system integrators who serve them. You'll translate complex technical and compliance requirements into solutions, and ensure smooth, successful deployments within federal security and procurement frameworks. This is a hands-on role working closely with agency clients, SI partners, and internal teams — ideal for someone who thrives in highly regulated environments and can navigate both the technical and bureaucratic dimensions of federal technology delivery.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead implementation and integration efforts for fraud and compliance products within federal agency environments, including navigating agency IT approval processes and ATO requirements
- Work closely with federal clients and SI partners to provide end-to-end support during onboarding, accounting for extended timelines and multi-stakeholder processes typical of government deployments
- Own APIs, SDK documentation, integration guides, and support documents — including versions scoped for FedRAMP-authorized or FedRAMP-in-process environments
- Analyze clients' requirements from technical, functional, and compliance perspectives; design solutions with a deep understanding of Sardine's capabilities and federal security constraints (NIST 800-53, FISMA, IL4/IL5)
- Manage implementation projects, including monitoring quality, managing timelines across long federal procurement and delivery cycles, mitigating risk, and driving deliverables to completion
- Build a deep understanding of agency business problems, technical requirements, compliance obligations, and success criteria to deliver solutions using Sardine's technology
- Serve as the primary integration interface with system integrators (SIs) and others who act as the delivery layer between Sardine and end agencies
- Support Sardine's FedRAMP authorization efforts by contributing to SSP documentation, control evidence, and integration-layer security requirements
- Provide product and compliance feedback to internal stakeholders as the eyes and ears on the ground within the federal market
What You'll Need
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as an implementation manager, integrations engineer, technical account manager, solution architect, or systems analyst, working across multiple technical teams both internal and external
- 3+ years of B2B SaaS experience in a relevant domain (payments, fraud, risk, identity, or compliance)
- Experience delivering integrations within federal government environments, including working through or alongside a system integrator
- Familiarity with FedRAMP authorization processes (Moderate or High baseline preferred), including how FedRAMP impacts integration architecture, data handling, and third-party vendor requirements
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, and federal security review processes (ATO/IATO)
- Understanding of federal contract vehicles and procurement mechanisms (e.g., GSA MAS, SEWP, OTAs, BPAs) and how they affect project scoping and delivery timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical and compliance concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across long, complex delivery cycles
- Advanced experience with SQL querying and JSON payload analysis
- Experience with API specs like OpenAPI, web development, and writing scripts to build internal tools (e.g., bash scripting, Python, SQL, Ruby, Golang, Postman)
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in the U.S.
- Only candidates with the ability and willingness to obtain a government clearance will be considered
Nice to Have
- Previous government clearance (Secret and above)
- Prior employment at or long-term embedded work within a federal SI (Leidos, SAIC, Booz Allen, Accenture Federal, Deloitte, CACI, Peraton, etc.)
- Experience supporting a vendor through FedRAMP authorization from the integration or technical side
- Familiarity with federal identity and fraud use cases (benefits integrity, improper payments, identity proofing for government services)
Benefits
Offers equity with early exercise, flexible PTO and year-end break, comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance, 4% 401k/RRSP matching, MacBook Pro, home office setup stipend, monthly meal and social meet-up stipends, and annual health/wellness and learning stipends.
