Strategic Finance & Analytics Intern (MBA)

About the Role

Airbnb is seeking MBA students to join the Finance organization as Strategic Finance & Analytics Interns for our 2027 Summer Intern Program from May 24, 2027 – August 13, 2027.

Our Strategic Finance & Analytics (SFA) team sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and the business, partnering directly with leaders to decide where Airbnb invests, how we grow, and what we do next. Interns will sharpen their strategic and analytical skills alongside leaders across Finance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems and issues using data to provide insight to decision-makers
• Identify and interpret trends and patterns based on business data and market knowledge
• Construct and present forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to stakeholders and leaders
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
• Team up with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and communicate regular updates and insights to stakeholders

Qualifications

• First-year, full-time MBA student (expected graduation Spring 2028) at an accredited U.S. business school
• 3–5 years of professional experience in FP&A, corporate development, management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or business operations
• Robust quantitative skills and experience analyzing complex data to deliver actionable recommendations
• Experience with SQL, financial modeling, data analysis, and visualization (Tableau or similar tools)
• AI fluency and sound AI judgment
• Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to execute independently
• Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior leaders
• Strong relationship-building skills, time management, and adaptability
• Current authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting industry research and due diligence
