International Payroll Analyst

Reddit seeks an experienced International Payroll Lead to own and scale payroll operations across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC. This individual contributor reports to the Sr. Global Payroll Manager and partners with payroll vendors and People, Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Equity, and Internal Audit teams.

This is a full-time, remote United States position with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage, audit, and execute payroll across 15+ international countries, including inputs, validation, approvals, funding coordination, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.
• Lead payroll calendars and operating cadence, managing dependencies, cutoffs, exceptions, and risks to ensure accurate, timely payment.
• Partner with in-country providers to meet regional pay schedules and statutory processing windows.
• Oversee international equity compensation payroll processing for RSUs and stock options, ensuring compliance with international tax, statutory benefit, and reporting requirements.
• Serve as functional lead for payroll technology projects, using Workday to automate workflows, optimize configurations, build custom reports, and support enterprise global payroll implementations.
• Manage external vendors and third-party tax fulfillment partners; coordinate with internal teams on funds reconciliation and local tax compliance.
• Establish and document payroll policies, SOX controls, and operating procedures to support 401(k), workers’ compensation, and financial audits.
• Support M&A integrations, new-country entries, and business-critical cross-functional launches.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global footprint.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Workday Payroll reporting, configuration, and integrations, plus global payroll software platforms.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and pivot tables, for complex analysis, reconciliation, and audit modeling.
• Thorough understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, discretion with confidential data, and exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Experience

• Responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audit requests, including reconciliations, control evidence, and supporting documentation.
• Applying automation or AI tools to payroll operations, analytics, controls, case management, or knowledge documentation.
• Providing high-quality service to employees and business partners across regions, cultures, and time zones.
• Working in publicly traded, technology, or high-growth companies and supporting international expansion or payroll transformation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base salary: $105,400–$147,500 USD. The posting may span multiple career levels; final offers depend on skills, experience, relevant credentials, and other factors.
