About the Role

The Retailer Data Science team creates and maintains algorithms and models that power Faire’s marketplace. You will address challenges including logistics and freight cost optimization, credit limits, retailer acquisition, personalized landing pages, and retailer lifetime value prediction. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to unlock value from Faire’s growing two-sided marketplace data.

Responsibilities

  • Underwriting: Evaluate retailer creditworthiness and improve Faire’s Net terms portfolio. Use predictive modeling to dynamically assign credit limits that minimize default risk and maximize growth.
  • Retailer growth and lifecycle: Build models to automatically generate landing pages and content targeting search engine demand. Use natural language processing to understand keyword intent and match it with relevant internal content.
  • Generate retailer intelligence to power personalization and predict retailer lifetime value to optimize acquisition spending.

Qualifications

  • An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant discipline, such as statistics, economics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or operations research.
