About the Role

Okta is hiring a Senior Data Analyst for its Auth0 Developer Led Growth (DLG) team. The multidisciplinary team spans Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, the Startup Program, and Product Activation and Conversion, helping developers discover, integrate, and adopt Auth0.

You will join a two-person data team with an experienced technical lead as your analytical partner. You will have autonomy over your domain, input into prioritization, and responsibility for communicating insights across the DLG organization. The team actively uses AI tools to accelerate analytics, SQL development, exploration, model prototyping, and documentation.

Locations and Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid role with listed locations in Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; Seattle, Washington; and Washington, DC.
  • The role begins with an immersive, in-person onboarding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex, cross-functional data into clear narratives and recommendations for product, marketing, sales, finance, and operations stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify data gaps, discrepancies, and opportunities, communicating findings that drive action.
  • Prioritize your analytics roadmap, scope requests, push back when appropriate, and communicate tradeoffs, while the technical lead manages the overall roadmap.
  • Analyze A/B experiments and DLG initiatives and design rigorous measurement frameworks.
  • Automate and scale processes using AI tools, custom SQL, and creative approaches that reduce manual work.
  • Write clean, well-documented SQL and DBT models that others can build on.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Clear communication and stakeholder management skills, including explaining findings to both nontechnical executives and data engineers, listening well, and challenging poorly scoped requirements.
  • Experience prioritizing work in a high-demand environment and making reasoning and tradeoffs transparent to stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and curiosity when framing analytical problems and discovering unexpected insights.
  • Active use of AI tools, including LLM assistants, coding tools, and automation, with concrete examples of their impact on daily work.
  • Experience with DBT, Snowflake, Tableau, and Git is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Python experience.
  • Developer-facing product experience.
  • Experience translating developer behavior into product insights.
  • A/B testing and experimentation design.
  • Revenue modeling and forecasting.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual base salary: $114,000–$156,200 USD for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
  • Actual base salary depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
