Software Engineer, Internship - Infrastructure

The Role

Software Engineers at Palantir build software at scale to transform how organizations around the world use data. As an intern within Palantir’s Foundations organization, you’ll build shared infrastructure underpinning the Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and Apollo platforms.

Teams within Foundations focus on one of four categories:

• Backend Infrastructure: Maximizes backend developer productivity and ensures performant, consistent RESTful services and micro-service repository architectures.
• Developer Infrastructure: Operates systems and services underpinning the developer ecosystem, including tooling like GitHub and custom automation tools.
• Frontend Infrastructure: Maximizes frontend developer productivity across the entire frontend development stack, including UI frameworks (Blueprint), build tooling, and feature flags.
• Storage Infrastructure: Develops database and search systems across cloud, on-premise, and classified environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Build features to improve developer experience or improve the scalability and reliability of Palantir’s platforms.
• Participate throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation and design to execution and rollout.
• Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand and solve developer and customer problems.

What We Require

• Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
• Experience coding in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar.
• Must be planning on graduating in 2028 (final internship before graduating).
