About the Role

Palantir's Year at Palantir internship program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to do critical, hands-on work with engineers and customers building the future. Interns build software, deliver customer outcomes, deploy AI-powered solutions, and transform organizational operations.

Tracks

• Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE): Embed directly with customers to solve pressing challenges, architecting and building solutions leveraging business-critical data and advancements in AI.
• Software Engineer: Build software at scale across products such as Palantir Gotham, Palantir Foundry, or Palantir Apollo within small product development teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Rapidly understand complex customer problems and architect solutions.
• Build and deploy software platforms leveraging integrated cutting-edge AI.
• Work in small, agile teams owning the end-to-end execution and implementation of high-stakes projects.
• Contribute high-quality code directly to core Palantir products and release infrastructure.

Requirements

• Pursuing or received a degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science (open to college freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors).
• Proficiency with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
• Hands-on experience applying AI (through coursework, personal projects, internships, or relevant extracurricular activities).

Valued Qualifications

• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
• For USG roles: Active U.S. security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one, is required (a plus for all other roles).
