About the Travel, Transportation and Hospitality Team

• The Travel, Transportation and Hospitality (TTH) team supports some of the largest airlines, hotel chains, rental car brands, cruise lines, and travel tech companies in the world.
• Our TTH team is constantly pushing the bounds of what is possible within this industry and beyond, helping support customers in the moments that matter.
• We're a small, scrappy, product-led team that works closely together to build the travel industry of the future.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents: Build and ship highly performant, reliable, and intuitive AI agents that are central, mission-critical, and drive revenue directly to Sierra's growth.
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC): Take complete ownership and autonomy from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration, defining best practices along the way.
• Partner with large enterprises and cutting-edge startups: Work directly with enterprise leaders and startups to understand business challenges and embed AI agents across their tech stack.
• Build the future of the platform: Surface unmet customer needs, prototype new tools and features, and collaborate across research, product, and platform teams.

Example Projects

• Building innovative multimodal experiences: Spearhead cross-cutting initiatives to bring embedded voice mode into mobile apps.
• Shipping complex booking experiences: Build personalized booking flows with map views, recommendation engines, and seamless payment collection.
• Abstracting complex systems into packages: Modernize legacy reservation systems by creating Sierra packages that optimize querying and updates.
• Improving platform integrations: Expand extensibility by introducing capabilities such as MCP UI for dynamic chat hosting.

• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excitement in the travel space and a genuine care for improving guest experiences.

Even Better

• Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Background as a founder or founding engineer.
• Familiarity with tools powering modern AI agents: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
• Experience interfacing with customers or leading technical projects with external stakeholders.
