Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (Consumer Engineering)

About the Role

Consumer Growth Experience Engineering (CGX) builds the platforms and end-to-end experiences that power Affirm’s consumer growth across push, email, app, and web. We own the core engagement surfaces and systems that help customers discover value, onboard seamlessly, and take confident next steps using personalization, segmentation, and experimentation.

What You'll Do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
• Support peers and stakeholders across the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics.
• Articulate technical constraints and partner on decisions considering risks and trade-offs.
• Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues and lead in solving them.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts by creating/monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards.
• Help develop talent on your team through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.

What We Look For

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience leading significant mobile initiatives (React Native or native), including architecture definition and cross-functional launches.
• Experience working across React Native and native boundaries (Swift/Kotlin), debugging platform-specific issues, and improving developer tooling, CI/CD, and release processes.
• Experience implementing experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics instrumentation in mobile applications.
• Experience shipping web applications using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex features with clear, extensible design and safe codebase practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
