Business Systems Analyst, New Product Introduction
Anthropic
San Francisco, Ca · hybrid · full time
$270,000 - $315,000
About the Role
Anthropic launches new products, models, and pricing frequently, and each launch must work seamlessly across systems from day one. This role owns how a launch integrates into quote-to-cash systems, from the initial pricing discussions to the first invoice.
You will lead launch planning early, determining requirements across catalog, quoting, contracts, billing, tax, and reporting. You will build declarative Salesforce solutions directly and partner with Salesforce developers and Billing Engineering on technical implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the systems side of new product and pricing launches from initial pricing discussions through launch day and the first billing cycle.
- Translate pricing and packaging decisions into system changes: SKUs, price books, bundles, discount/approval rules, contract terms, billing plans, tax codes, and reporting.
- Build and maintain a repeatable New Product Introduction (NPI) playbook: intake, readiness checklists, sign-offs, launch calendars, and post-launch reviews.
- Partner early with Product and Pricing to ensure proposals can be quoted, billed, and reported cleanly.
- Design end-to-end pricing models (usage-based, seat-based, tiered, committed, multi-year ramps) and define sources of truth across systems.
- Plan impacts on existing customers including SKU migrations, grandfathering, amendments, co-termination, and renewals.
- Manage end-of-sale and product/pricing retirements safely.
- Coordinate cross-functional changes across Salesforce, billing, and tax platforms.
- Ensure operational readiness for Deal Desk and Sales with quote templates, approval paths, and enablement.
- Conduct post-launch reconciliation between quotes, orders, invoices, and financial reporting.
- Use AI tools like Claude to accelerate launch cycles, catalog updates, and scenario testing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in GTM or revenue systems as a Business Systems Analyst, Q2C Systems Lead, or similar role with hands-on ownership of product/pricing launches.
- Track record of launching products or pricing models at a fast-growing company across catalog, quoting, contracts, and billing.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or similar CPQ tooling (data models, price books, bundles, approval rules).
- Working understanding of how pricing decisions impact bookings, invoicing, tax, and revenue recognition.
- Experience managing cross-functional launch processes requiring sign-offs across Product, Finance, Legal, and Sales on fixed timelines.
- Hands-on Salesforce administration skills (Flow, validation rules, page layouts, approval processes).
- Clear cross-functional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with usage-based/consumption pricing and billing platforms (Stripe, Metronome, Zuora).
- Experience with customer migrations, grandfathering, and amendments at scale.
- Experience with product tax setup and tax engines (e.g., Anrok, Avalara).
- Experience with Salesforce integrations (billing, ERP, provisioning) and reading API payloads/logs.
- Basic SQL skills and familiarity with data warehouses for post-launch verification.
- Salesforce Administrator, CPQ Specialist, Advanced Administrator, or Business Analyst certifications.
- Hands-on usage of AI tools (Claude or similar) for systems design, documentation, and testing.
Benefits
Anthropic offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, and flexible working hours.
