Senior Software Engineer - Product Platform Team

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer on the Product Platform team, you'll take end-to-end ownership of critical product features, delivering seamless, high-impact user experiences in close collaboration with Product Managers and Designers. Our current stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, React, Ruby, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform, and FreeSWITCH.

The Product Platform team sits at the center of Orum’s architecture, building foundational systems that power every product—including CRM integrations (Salesforce, Outreach), identity and access, and data flows, as well as AI-powered prospect enrichment.

What You’ll Do

• Own core product features, from initial concept and discovery through implementation, deployment, and iterative improvement.
• Design and build scalable systems (70% backend, 30% frontend) that power real-time, high-volume workflows, such as routing calls with our event-driven SIP Softswitch or processing audio streams for advanced speech recognition.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, Designers, and Engineers to shape and deliver intuitive, performant experiences.
• Mentor and support teammates by sharing knowledge, offering feedback, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
• Drive technical excellence by helping define and uphold coding standards that keep our codebase clean, maintainable, and scalable.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience owning features or products through the full lifecycle—from discovery to release to iteration.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience building applications with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience working with an RDBMS using SQL.
• Deep appreciation for simple, maintainable, and well-tested code.
