Role

As a Software Engineer Intern, Agent for Summer 2027, you will work on-site in San Francisco and contribute directly to production AI agents for Sierra's customers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of AI agents.
• Ship features and gain hands-on experience with production systems.
• Learn from real-world customer use cases at scale.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
• A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency, finding creative ways to overcome obstacles and ship.
• Excellent communication skills: clear, direct, and persuasive with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.

Preferred Experience

• Building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
• Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
• Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
